Check what kind of statement you have
1 · Learn
'The display contains twelve models' is a checkable factual claim. 'It is the best display ever' expresses a judgement and needs criteria if used in an argument. Calling a statement factual does not prove it is true; it still needs checking.
A persuasive text may mix facts, opinions and predictions. Identify each and ask what evidence would support it. A confident tone cannot replace evidence.
2 · Worked example
In 'Our twelve models will amaze everyone', twelve is a checkable count, while everyone being amazed is an unsupported prediction about reactions.
3 · Your turn
Classify 'The exhibition opens at ten' and 'Everyone will love it'.
Check your answer
The first is a checkable factual claim; the second predicts every visitor's reaction and is not established by the opening time.
4 · Apply your learning
Annotate an invented advert using different marks for counts, judgements and predictions.
Adult guidance and safety
Read the supplied text together if needed. Accept well-supported alternative interpretations, not invented evidence. Use wider whole books, poems and plays alongside these short original models; provide specific feedback on writing and revisit spelling over time.

Not saved to your account. Download your drawing as PNG and your typed notes as TXT before leaving or refreshing. They are separate files. Do not enter private information.
Open a picture saved on this device to draw on it again. Opening replaces the drawing, but Undo can restore it. PNG only, up to 4 MB and 4096 × 4096 pixels. The picture stays in this browser; it is not uploaded. Paper lines in a saved picture become part of that picture.
Clear the drawing? Your typed notes will stay. You can undo this action.
Your pad is empty.
Open a UTF-8 TXT file from this device, up to 40 KB and 10,000 characters. It stays in this browser. Opening can be undone until you type again. Downloads keep a new copy; they do not change the file you opened.
Replace the notes on this page with the opened file? Download the current notes first if you want to keep them.
Typed notes are not submitted answers.
