Original complete short passage, 'School badge': The hall's new display had bright panels and an empty space for the next class photograph. Omar set a box of old badges beside it. He had been asked to count them, not keep them. One badge had a bent pin. He straightened it with his thumbnail and placed it at the top of the box, face upwards, before recording the total and leaving.
