Retell a familiar tale - Online practice 2

Read the information, then answer the questions. An adult may read the instructions aloud. Show your working where asked.

Read before answering

The Tortoise and the Hare: A hare laughed at a tortoise for moving slowly. They agreed to race. The hare ran ahead and stopped for a nap. The tortoise kept walking. By the time the hare woke, the tortoise had crossed the finishing line. This is our own short retelling of a traditional tale. An adult may read it aloud. Other versions can have different details or endings. Answer about this version, then compare with a book if one is available.
